Meet The Mighty Ptarmigan by Journey Onward Vans-- this is an all-inclusive 2021 Ram ProMaster City camper van. It is the perfect vehicle to drive north to explore Denali National Park or venture south to discover the Kenai Peninsula. It includes excellent gas mileage and numerous cost saving features. The van allows you to sleep and prepare your own meals and experience Alaska on a budget.My goal is to provide everything you need, making the process seamless for you to arrive, pick up the vehicle, grab groceries, and hit the open road!The van features a professional conversion fully equipped with a fold out couch/bed for two, sink (with fresh water container below counter), camp stove, solar powered refrigerator, and solar powered Jackery 500 power station (for charging cameras, cell phones, computer, etc.).Another positive feature is how user-friendly it is to drive. It is easy to maneuver and provides a smooth ride on the 2-4+ hour highway trips. You also won’t have to deal with finding a camping spot in crowded campgrounds. You can easily utilize a parking lot or overflow parking area, often avoiding campground fees if permissible. I believe $15 entrance fee, able to drive the van through the park and see lots of rescued wildlife-- bears, bison, caribou, wolvesSeward- glacier boat tours, The Sealife center. Guided fishing trip.Hope-- one of our favorite locations!! Just 2 hours south of Anchorage. Small and quaint. Live music on the weekends at the Creekbend Cafe. Visit the Seaview Cafe and camp next to the ocean. However, the first 15 miles of the DENALI PARK ROAD is allowed****Highway Restrictions: Please do not drive the following: Dalton Highway - Denali Highway, (Cantwell, AK to Paxson, AK)- McCarthy Road - Steese Highway - Taylor Highway. These roads are more remote. The most popular highways between Anchorage to Fairbanks and Anchorage to the Kenai Peninsula or Anchorage over to Valdez are all acceptable.--Many of the Alaska flights arrive late at night. The van orientation and paperwork can take up to an hour to complete, thus if you arrive late you will need to arrange to pick up the van the following morning. If you arrive in the evening and want to pick up the van but not leave Anchorage, our location is 5 min. away from the South Anchorage Cabela’s and Target on C street. There is a designated RV parking/camping lot in between the two stores, providing a safe and well-lit area for you to get some sleep after a long travel day. Come morning, you can easily stock up on supplies in Anchorage (Target, Walmart, Carrs (grocery store), Fred Myers (grocery meets target/Walmart) all nearby) and hit the open road!-Van does not have a toilet but there are numerous restroom facilities along the road system and at campgrounds.***This is not a van you can stand up in, it is compact******Sleeping space for two can be snug depending on size, please keep this in mind. Happy to answer any questions/concerns******NO SMOKING******NO PETS******NO USED FISHING GEAR IN VAN (i.e. waders/boots)******REFRIGERATOR NOT TO BE USED TO STORE FRESHLY CAUGHT FISH UNLESS ALREADY PACKAGED***

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

I will do my best to make pick-up and drop-off as flexible as possible. Please keep in my orientation and paperwork of the van may take up to 1 hour. Majority of flights arrive to Anchorage late at night. If your flight arrives at 2am, you will have to pick up the van the following morning.
