Résumé de l'évaluation
Proactive and supportive host
Eric provides outstanding communication, offering airport service, flexible scheduling, detailed van tours, and mid-trip check-ins, ensuring guests have all necessary camping gear.
Older van with driving quirks
While dependable for travel, guests note it's an older van (1997) with quirks like noise, occasional stalling, and imperfect door seals. It averages 16.5 mpg and comes fully equipped with essentials for camping.

Foire aux questions
Q.
Is boondocking in Alaska possible, or do I have to stay at campgrounds?
R.
Boondocking in Alaska is possible, in a large part because of how remote most parts of Alaska is. You can find turnouts and creative camping spots when outside the city of Anchorage. While in Anchorage, Cabelas at 155 W 104th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99515 offers free overnight stays. There are many State campgrounds as well, most of which are $20 per night.
Q.
Are there any restricted roads I can travel, such as gravel roads?
R.
Certain highways in Alaska that go to more remote communities are not regularly maintained by the State of Alaska and can be very rough. I do not restrict the use of any roads with the van, but if you plan to use these roads, an additional $500 security deposit is necessary. Dempster, Denali, Dalton, Elliot, Steese, Taylor, McCarthy
Q.
Where can I shower?
R.
The van comes with a basic portable shower (unheated) for outside use. The van comes with a privacy tent, and the shower can be used in a pinch or for those who don't mind a cold shower. In Anchorage there are gyms, such as Planet Fitness. There are also campgrounds throughout Alaska with showers. Bear in mind, Anchorage is the only major city accessible by road other than Fairbanks, so when traveling out of town, prepare to be more independent.
