2012 Forest River Sunseeker 3170DS
Well taken care of Sunseeker. Twin bunk over cab, single bunk beds and queen in the master. Couch and table also turn into beds but most would find them too uncomfortable. Master has a memory foam topper on it and I swear I sleep better on it than my house!A clean set of sheets will be on the master with a few extra blanketa. Pillows and sleeping bags or blankets for anywhere else will be your responsibility.Fair warning: I always have my German Shepherd with me when I use it so there may of course be a stray dog hair or three, so people with super allergies be aware. When I clean it I try to make it look and smell like he’s never been in there. But they’re not nick named German Shedders for a reason. Again i try very hard to leave no trace of him. Your animal is very welcome but you’ll of course be responsible for any accidents or damage.Three TV’s with DVD players and a sound system / radio. Even a car style radio in a hatch outside under the awning! I personally just use the TV antenna for digital over-the-air for news, weather and Andy Griffith reruns. But you’re not in the house, shouldn’t be watching TV anyway. Ha ha.Kitchen is very useful with the quickest microwave in the universe, three burner stove and oven. I personally don’t like the taste of hose / tank water so I get the 2.5 gallon jugs with spouts and leave them on the counter. There are pots, pans, cooking utensils and a few bowls. I will stock the cabinet with paper plates, plastic utensils and cups. If you do anything other than microwave I just ask you to please clean after yourselves, especially bacon!I usually leave a fold up table and two fold up plastic chairs in the under storage. I’m learning what people want so if you have a request of something I’ll see if I have it.Generator is one of the quiet ones but you won’t want to use it all the time. Power is 30 amp and the cord is about 12’. I also have a 20’ extension and the adapter to plug into 50 amp. In the storage is also a hose for the water hookup and a coax of the RV park has cable. There is a dump hose and washout but I don’t expect you to dump the “black” tank. If you want to I’m not going to stop you and will say “ thank you” followed by a hand shake (after you assure me you’ve washed it! Ha ha).RV drives great. Good power. Horrible mileage but the same you’d get from anything else this size. 10-12 mpg is about average. Less of you’re towing. Has a huge fuel tank! It’ll be full when you pickup and I ask that it’s full when you drop it off. If you’re running late I’ll estimate a fill-up.Only issues: and I don’t mind telling you as I want you to be super satisfied and not have any surprises!! Toilet doesn’t flush great. Never has. It works just doesn’t have a lot of water pressure. It’s always been that way. I keep a jug in the bathroom that I fill from the tub when needed.
The other one is that it doesn’t have jacks / levelers. I’ve never found this to be an issue but again just being honest. There’s drive on leveling blocks in the under storage if the spot you’re in isn’t level.
That’s it!!!Trailers: it has a class 3 hitch but doesn’t have a brake controller. I’ve pulled a 6x10 trailer (loaded with two motorcycles) and sometimes a Honda CRV no problem. I have the proper drop hitch insert and 2 5/16” and 2” balls. Trailer is at your own risk and trailer isn’t covered by myself or Outdoorsy in anyway.I have laminated checklists for “set up” and “tear down” for those that haven’t used an RV or aren’t familiar with this particular model. My biggest request is be respectful. This is my baby and I use her regularly at motorcycle racetracks across the southeast. Treat it like your own and not a Motel 6. Essspecially the roof! No going up there please. Just had a new one put on and could have bought a motorcycle instead of replacing it!Accidents happen and stuff breaks, I understand that. Communication, respect and understanding are the keys! I’ll work with you and will appreciate the same.I’ll do everything I can to help you have a Great trip!
