Unfortuneately we wouldn't use them again. No documents regarding the RV to take away with you, just a briefing and then you're basically on your own. The van had an issue with the awning that delayed our departure for an hour. They did give us 4 foc chiars for that delay but I had to ask three times for some form of compensation. The sat nav system had a fault that they knew about but didn't tell me so we couldn't play music and it was mostly not operating for driving directions. It has the feel of a business set up to just earn as much money as possible and no real thought to customer service.

We have rented RVs for the past four summers in Alaska, and the 26 foot 2026 Nexus Phantom was a 10/10. We loved the floor plan, especially the long slide-out. This RV was very new, and had only 10K miles on it when we picked it up. We were a little frustrated with the amenities. Although it was listed as a private rental, it was actually through Alaska RV Rentals. In all the years past our rentals had more of the basics like a small bottle of dish soap, a small sponge, oven mitts and one roll of paper towels. This rental did not come with any of these items. We were happy that it did come with several rolls of toilet paper. The linens were another problem for us. Thankfully, it came with 2 sets of sheets because one set was a very dingy grey (used to be white) set. The other set was better, but it was a very cheap microfiber set. Definitely not a hotel quality standard we are used to getting with past rentals. Also the matress pad was very stained. This rental also did not come with wheel chocks or any leveling blocks. All in all, it was a good week, but we will probably not use Alaska Rentals again.

We had a great first RV trip, everything worked well. We didn't really use the oven or the shower. It turned out that the RV campgrounds and RV parks we stayed at had showers that were more spacious than the RV shower - in this case it would have been helpful for us to have brought shower shoes with us, or picked up some cheap flip flops at the start of the trip. It took a little bit to figure how everything about how the RV worked, but once we got the hang of everything it was great. The pick-up and drop off was quick and easy. The in-person orientation at pick-up was great, but since it was all verbal, and I didn't have a notepad to take notes, it would have been helpful to have a reference sheet or video to review later to make sure I fully understood and remembered everything. It would probably be necessary for them to make an orientation video for each RV, but it seems like it would be feasible. We would definitely rent from this outfit again.

We had minor difficulty finding the place using google, but were able to figure it out. Check in was ez as was the orientation. The fully equipped kitchen is sparse, but we made it work. All of the linens were good. The unit was clean, but in need of some minor maintenance. Everything worked. My only complaint was there were no leveling blocks. Neither spot we camped was very level. It would have been nice to be able to level the camper out. We had difficulty finding a place to get the propane tank filled. We went 3 places and everyone was out of propane. In the end, we returned it without filling the propane tank. As we were leaving we saw another service station catty corner from the rental place wish we would have tried there and called it good if they were out. Check out was a breeze. Over all it was a good experience.

Disappointing Experience – Issues with RV Condition & Support
We spent $2,500 for an 8-day Alaska trip (4 adults, 1 child), but the experience fell short due to issues with the RV and support.
RV Condition: The sofa was sunken, and wiping it with disinfectant revealed built-up dirt. Bunk mattresses had holes, floors were uneven, and driving was quite noisy.
Bedding: Instead of clean white sheets, we had older patterned comforters with clumpy filling that did not feel fresh.
Breakdown & Delays: Tires were underinflated. On Day 4 at 10 AM, the slide-out failed to retract. Support couldn't send roadside help. We reached the owner directly, but repairs finished at 9:30 PM. We lost nearly two days, canceled Homer, and drove only ~400 miles total.
Compensation: The owner declined any partial refund or apology for lost time.
Drop-off: Returning our 32ft RV at 6 AM was stressful due to an overcrowded, unsafe lot with local transients. In our rush, we left a suitcase. We sincerely appreciate customer service shipping it back.
Overall, the vehicle issues and delayed help made the trip frustrating. We likely will not rent again.

My husband and I rented the camper van for a 5-night roadtrip and found it very comfortable for our needs. The cooking and bedding amenities were well-stocked, and there was lots of smart storage space. There were a few electrical elements that weren't working perfectly, like the sensors on the water and propane levels were jumpy and inaccurate, and the induction stove needed constant re-starting, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. We were able to workaround these problems and still really enjoyed the vehicle overall.

The RV was clean and ran well. The beds were comfortable. There were no garbage cans, garbage bags, dish cloths, or dish soap. They said it wasn’t their policy to add those things but would have been nice. Staff was friendly and easy going during check in and check out.

The hosts overcharge you for the things that should be included with the rental. Items like camp chairs and a coffee make are not included even though they are readily available. By the time you ad include the items you actually need to go camping it will ad 1000.00 to you r trip over a week. The host also comunicates poorly and does respond to messages through Outdoorsy. They are also claiming we have damaged the unit but are not providing any evidence and asked me to call back after 10:00pm to discuss the matter. I will not rent from them again.

They do NOT do inspection with on return. They wait for you to leave, then claim non existent damage. The toilet would not work properly, I bought snake and still could not properly use the toilet. The in dash radio did not work, and I had to buy a BT speaker for music. The in dash AC/Heat stopped working after about 50 miles. I returned my unit noting these issues, and was told I would be called to discuss. The call never happened, and I got email saying they are keeling my $1500 deposit and filing claim against insurance for a tear that was not shown on pickup, or return. I never saw a tear, nor can imagine how one would happen. Renter beware, I am now disputing charges w AMEX because this shady operation is trying to steal from me. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE
