Dutch family of 5 living in Las Vegas. 3 girls and a Doberman. We Love the beach. We Love the mountains. We Love to travel. We always had an A Class RV, but we decided it became to big for our needs. We love to boon dock, and it was frankly to big. So we bought a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van. I converted it myself. That was a great learning experience, and something I discovered I really like to do. So I set up [URL removed] (and our Instagram feed at; 'familysprintervan'. ) and started building. So when the rental option became available I decided to join and explore that option too.

The owner cancelled our trip ( me ant my wife's 15 year anniversary vacataion!) after we have already booked plane tix and planned out trip. Now we're stuck last Minute. Trying to find other plans!! This sucks. And all Outdoorsy can says. Is ( ooooo they aren't suppose to do that !!!! YOU CAN FINDER ANOTHER ONE, ITS OK ) this was a Joke . and not a good way to handle my first booking .

Frank was super quick to respond - before and during the rental. He was also very accommodating with various aspects of the rental process and is in general a very nice guy.
The van was basic in its equipment but had everything I needed for my one week trip to Zion and Bryce National Parks. It was definitely too big for just myself but I knew that when I rented it (I am currently in the process of trying out various Sprinter models). This specific Sprinter is tall, and long, and powerful: perfect for a family of 4 (or 5). Indoor dining arrangements for 4/5 would probably be a little cramped but was great for 2/3 (me and my visiting 2 friends).
I had no issues with Frank’s camper van and would recommend it to any family on a summer vacation. I might not want to rent it again during freezing temperatures (which we had during our late October visit) as the van is not equipped with a generator and independent heating unit. Though I was happy that Frank threw in a small portable propane heater that at least temporarily helped to heat up the car when I needed it most.

Franciscus (Frank) came to our rescue after the campervan we originally hired through Outdoorsy had been damaged by the previous renters and was therefore unavailable. We didn't find this out until the night before we were due to pick it up so there was a mad dash by Outdoorsy to source another campervan and Frank kindly agreed to hire his out even though he was in the middle of refurbishing it. He was concerned that it was not completed and had spent most of the evening and from early the next morning to get it ready enough for our use. We were just happy that we had a usable van to continue with the holiday we had been planning and saving up for, for almost a year. For that I cannot thank Frank enough. The Van itself was easy to drive and never let us down and was economical on fuel. I know that after we returned the vehicle Frank was going to strip the interior and finish refurbishing it which I would imagine would be up to a very high standard going by what he had already done. Frank was very accomodating, a good communicator and easy to get on with. I would highly recommend this vehicle.
