Our Honeymoon experience was amazing in the Maui Explorer! We spent the whole trip in the Winnie and it was awesome. The host is fabulous and accommodating if we needed a thing. A week in the Winnie is a breeze especially for us being RV/Camper owners ourselves, where else can you wake up on the beach with a different view every morning? The Winnie has tremendous features. We watched some olympics on the tv on a rainy night, and arrived early to our horseback tour for a quick hour nap before heading out. Another awesome treat was waking up in the crater for the morning sunrise. We drove up after the booth closed the night before and checked in at the kiosk and printed our pass. We spent the night under the stars without any light pollution, woke up early and made some coffees. We stepped out of the van to people arriving who’d just drove for hours at 2/3am so see what we slept in to experience, it was truly priceless. We even made the road to Hana, one lane bridges are no challenge for the Maui Explorer. If you want to stay in a campground with all the amenities and within reach of everything try Camp Olowalu just be prepared to plan your trip and reserve your car camping spots months in advance.

The rental experience was great! Diane was super approachable and detailed in handling our rental despite us making a pretty last minute reservation. She was very helpful in ensuring that the pick up and drop off arrangements worked put for us, and when we had issues, she readily provided us assistance during the trip. The campground which she suggested also gave us a magical sunrise for one of the days. Couldn't ask for a better experience for a short vacation at Maui. Highly recommended!!

Diane went above and beyond our expectations. She promptly answered all of our questions and offered suggestions before we made our trip to Maui. The camper van was very clean and comfortable. My husband and I were very impressed with how well stocked it was. Diane even included boogie boards and beach chairs! The day we picked up the van, Diane was unexpectantly in the hospital, but she went to great lengths to make sure the van was ready for us. Her brother, John, drove up to meet us and Diane gave us a tour of the van by phone from the hospital. Diane and John also encouraged us to call them anytime on our trip if we had any questions or problems. We had a wonderful vacation in Maui and enjoyed the adventure.

Had an amazing adventure! Can’t imagine seeing Maui any other way. Diane was awesome to work with! We stayed on the beach, at Hosmers Grove, and Camp Olowalu and each was amazing! Drove the road to Hana and the van was awesome!

We are so glad we chose to rent this RV for our trip around Maui. Drives very well, all essential systems are in good condition, and it's very clean and comfortable. Given Maui's fairly basic campsites without power or water hookups, it makes a huge difference having ample water and solar power.

There is definitely no better way to see the island! We spent two nights at Olowalu Camp Ground, one night at Hosmer Grove after a long hike and watching the sun set on Haleakala and were able to spend the night in Hana at the back property of Caroline’s Fruit Stand. Diane, the owner of the van, was so thoughtful and communicated well from start to finish to make sure we knew the ins and outs of the van and were properly stocked for our trip! I could not recommend this experience more!

Diane was a great communicator throughout the rental. The communication broke down after we returned the vehicle and she filed a claim against our security deposit saying that there were scratches on the exterior due to our washing of the vehicle before we returned it. She had no complaint on the inspection when we returned it- she said that she saw the problem “later.” Outdoorsy is currently mediating this for us - I have no idea how much she wants to charge us to “fix” this.

This is exactly what we were looking for. We had a great time on our trip. We drove to Hana and Haleakala. We have everything we needed to make this trip stress free. It’s easy to drive.
Make sure to book your campsite well in advance as most of the campsite get booked up.

We had such a blast on our trip!! It was great to be able to be so mobile and we had such a great experience. The van is great, has everything you need! We drove it on the road to Hana and had no issues, just took it slow/careful. One FYI is look into campsites well in advance to make sure you can book where you like! We had hoped to visit several around the island but most had filled by the time we looked (we looked very last minute so really our fault). We ended up staying at camp olowahu all 3 nights which was still wonderful and super nice.
