It was okay. Wouldn’t say great, wouldn’t say awful. The bads outweigh the goods so I am leaving 2 stars for “bad”. Worth the $800 we spent for 3 days? No. I’ll start with the goods, then the okays, then the bads. I think it’s fair to leave an honest review for future bookings for others so they get a true and honest opinion of the condition/experience prior to booking. Wife and I have never rented a camper but we stay in cabins quite often so this is nothing new to us rent a home away from home for a couple days. Unfortunately we chose this camper because of the reviews, clearly people are not being honest with their reviews OR the condition of this camper and the way the host rents it out has drastically changed prior to us renting it.GOODS-
AC is cold so that was nice during the hot summer days. Entire camper didn’t stay cold throughout the day which is likely from air leaking out of areas that have been patched etc on the camper and/or poor insulation. Majority of the turn vents were broken as well and kept closing on themselves throughout the stay. Other than that it was nice having cold ac standing directly under the unit.
Outdoor lighting under canopy was nice, gave you somewhere to hang out at nighttime with a little light.OKAYS- there was a lot of sleeping room if you had a big group. 2 full size beds( they were very hard cot like mattresses and could only be used for children, no way an adult would be able to walk after sleeping on that for a couple days.
Shower water was hot, to the point you will burn yourself if you aren’t careful. Once adjusted it felt nice having a hot shower. Now for the bads, unfortunately, there are a lot and this stay specifically changed our minds on ever renting a camper/rv again.Host was not one, not 2, but 3 hours late to dropping off the camper. We were told when booking, the camper would arrive at 3pm, he arrived at 6 at night. Had I known that I would have saved myself the 250$ or so delivery fee and picked it up myself on the way, I drive a 3500 diesel that could easily pull it. We had questions about the camper so we wanted to wait til he arrived with the camper before leaving. We had dinner plans which made the entire group miss our dinner plans due to the host dropping off so late.
Water- there is no possible way the clean water was filled up to the max prior to have the camper dropped off like we paid for. We checked the levels on day 1 and the meter was already showing 2 bars, I thought maybe the meter/sensor was broken. My wife and I took prison showers (spray yourself off quickly, turn water off while you wash yourself with soap, turn water back on to rinse yourself off.) we washed our hands a few times the same way and flushed the toilet a few times through the weekend and that was it. We ran out of water the second morning of being there so we couldn’t use the restroom we paid $75 to have dumped or the water we paid extra for having filled up. The black water was showing “full” as well on the second morning, no possible way.Camper interior- the camper is pretty beat up. Majority of things inside the camper don’t work or need some minor adjustment/tlc to make them work. The campers interiors lights, most are broken or they are extremely difficult to turn on. The toilet is nasty and stained to the point my 5 year old daughter was terrified to use it because it looked like it was already used from someone else and was dirty. The front screen door detaches itself from the main exterior door EVERY time you open or close it so you end up thinking you’ve closed the door and it lets all your ac out of the camper. The wall that is behind the dining table/eating area is extremely loose to the point it’s falling off and we were terrified the entire time of hitting it the wrong way when entering the camper or that our daughter would end up ripping the wall down since she’s 5 years old so we tried to keep her out of the camper as much as possible during our trip so she didn’t end up breaking it.
Master bed, the sheets came off every single night while sleeping. I woke up throughout the night every night having to get my wife and myself out of bed so we could put the sheet back on the bed because it would detach from the bed at the head area and I would be sleeping on the sticky plastic mattress cover.
Little things were aggravating throughout the stay as well which are not obviously looked at or considered from the host. Tv batteries were completely dead on tv in living room upon arrival. Host did not have ANY towels in camper which most cabin rentals/hotels leave the guest a towel to dry themselves off after a shower. Why would you rent a camper with a shower and advertise towels in the booking and then not have any or even check that there were any in the camper prior to dropping off? This is something we expected and unfortunately had to go to the local gas station to buy some expensive BEACH towels that barely dry you off. THANKFULLY we were in an area where that was possible otherwise we would have been screwed. I would recommend bringing some toilet paper because the toilet paper in bathroom that host provides could be used to sand down the varnish on your grandmothers old dining room table. Overall, it was nice to have somewhere to sleep at night but the overall experience was not pleasant for our first time ever renting a camper and we will never do it again.Ironically, we told the host we would be done with the camper at 530pm on Sunday and he was there on the dot. Wasn’t a second late picking up the camper but was 3 hours late dropping it off. Host wasn’t very friendly either, he barely spoke picking up and dropping off. Had I not asked questions, he wouldn’t have spoke during drop off and at pick up he obviously was not concerned with the overall experience we had with the camper. He did not ask how the trip went or ask if we had any problems which is likely WHY we had the experience we had.

Hi Brandon, thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your experience did not meet your expectations. From the beginning, I did let you know the RV would be delivered later than planned because I wanted to make sure it was properly cleaned and ready for your trip. I also kept you updated with my ETA while on the way. Unfortunately, I was delayed further due to a stopped train and police redirecting traffic, which added more time to the drive. The fresh water tank was filled before delivery, but the black tank sensors can sometimes give inaccurate readings, which I understand was frustrating. Cleanliness is very important to me, so I’m sorry to hear parts of the RV did not meet your expectations. I always try to provide a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable stay for every guest. I appreciate your feedback, as it helps me improve for future guests. Thank you again for your review.
