Excellent trip down the Oregon coast into Northern California. The van was great - exactly as advertised. Drives well. Cameras and parking sensors are a big help. We had the lower bed configured. It’s ok for kids but pretty tight with low headroom. Jim and Christie were awesome. Very responsive and helpful. Our first experience with Outdoorsy was great. I would definitely recommend this van.

Had a great 7 days in this van! Took it to all of the Washington national parks. Jim provided us with all of the camping supplies we may need as we are from out of town. It drove up the hills in the national parks extremely well and had no difficulty parking in typical parking spots. We were very impressed with this van and would recommend to anyone!

We had a wonderful experience renting this campervan. Everything was as advertised. The van came with everything we needed for our 10-day national park adventure tour. We used almost all of the supplies and equipment - a propane stove, a porta-pottie, cushions for picnic benches, dishes and silverware, the refrigerator, etc. The van was easy to drive, and we were able to park anywhere because of its compact size. It is the exact same length as my F150 pickup. It is a hybrid though, so it got MUCH better gas mileage than my truck, and we ended up spending half as much as we had budgeted for gas (bc we didn't realize we had a hybrid). The owner, Jim, was great to work with - he met us at the airport, explained everything we needed to know, and responded quickly to all inquiries. This was my first campervan rental experience, and I would do it again!

Communication with Jim was excellent from the start of the trip through the end. He was very quick to respond to all inquiries. We were traveling with our 2 month old and wanted to make sure we could fit his bassinet for sleeping at night, and Jim promptly measured the space for us and sent photos so that we could be sure the van setup was going to work for us before we committed to renting it.He worked with us to accommodate an early pick up and a late drop off (charged us an extra half day rental). After going through the features of the van with Jim, we brought it home and loaded up. The van has ample storage space under the queen bed platform in the back in which we were able to pack everything we needed for our 3 night camping trip, leaving plenty of legroom for me and baby in the back seat for our 4 hour drive to the Olympic peninsula!Jim included some great amenities including camp chairs, a screen tent, a portable toilet, and pots/pans, dishes, etc. He even through in a bottle of wine for my husband and I! We got to our campsite that evening and were able to back it easily into our spot because of the awesome backup cameras. My husband was impressed with how well it handled for such a large vehicle, making it easy for someone that usually drives a smaller SUV.We were very much enjoying our trip until the final night, when the wiring that powered the fridge shorted- this made the side panel behind the fridge very warm and then smoke started billowing out from the panel and toward the drivers seat. This was quite concerning as the wiring is very close to the diesel fuel line (in the driver's side door frame), so we discharged the provided fire extinguisher to make sure the short did not turn into fire! Luckily the fridge was powered by an auxiliary battery that we were able to turn off. We contacted Jim right away, and again he was very responsive and also apologetic. We were not comfortable staying in the van for the final night with the smell of the burned wire coating and insulation, along with the powder residue from the fire extinguisher, so were going to return the van early but Jim was confident that by taping off the shorted wire and turning off the auxiliary power that we were in no danger. Luckily we were able to borrow a tent and cooler to make it through that last night, and then dropped the van as originally planned. Jim took responsibility for the safety issue and has promised to get it promptly fixed, but offered no refund for the loss of use which is the reason for the 2 star review instead of 5 stars.
