Hey! I’m Artem — a photographer, filmmaker, and all-around adventure lover. I split my time between Oahu and Alaska, capturing wild places and helping others experience them too. When I’m not filming in the mountains or chasing surf with a camera, I’m out exploring trails, sleeping under the stars, and sharing this setup so others can do the same. This FJ was awesome! We couldn’t have imagined a better way to experience Alaska in the fullest. Would definitely book with Artem again.

We had such a great time with this rental and Artem was a great host! The vehicle was totally kitted out with everything you need ready for camping (bedding, chairs, table, stove, cookware, bear and mosquito spray, and even some spices for cooking). We had a little issue with the battery pack charging, and Artem got back to us right away with some solutions. We loved the flexibility of being able to camp anywhere, the pop-top tent was super easy to use. We would definitely recommend this rental!!

We loved driving the FJ Cruiser around Alaska! It's sturdy, reliable, and the rooftop tent is a great bonus. Artem was super friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend renting this car.

Our Alaskan adventure was amazing. Having a rooftop tent was an amazing experience and really let us enjoy nature to the fullest. Our vehicle was fully packed with all the necessary items for being self sufficient out in the back country. Having a fridge, ice, stove, chairs, and cooking utensils really felt like we had a moving apartment we could park anywhere. The rooftop tent kept us dry and warm despite multiple days of rain. The Kenai peninsula was one of the most magical places I’ve ever been and we will absolutely be back. We plan to use Artem again and again!

Overall, our trip went very well. The car ran great!! If you’re concerned about booking due to the fact that it’s an older vehicle, don’t be!! It runs excellent!! Also, it came fully stocked with plenty of camping equipment. Anything that you’d need to camp including sleeping bags, blankets, cooking equipment, camp stove, table/chairs, etc.
Artem is a very friendly host and knows Alaska very well and is more than willing to give you ideas and areas to visit that only the locals know!
My only complaint was that there were a few communication issues during the trip and that would be the only reason I wouldn’t give this vehicle a 5 star review, although I still did anyway because the car ran great and overall, everything worked out and went well.
First, I would recommend adding to the listing that the vehicle does come with all the camping equipment because I didn’t know and rented equipment that I ultimately didn’t need. Second, the host asked that I purchase additional insurance through rental cover.com at the time of pick up. Which I was fine with, but it would’ve been nice to have this worked out prior to pick up. So just be aware of this as it caught me off guard.
Lastly, Outdoorsy had a glitch in the schedule and overlapped our last day with the next renter. Artem said he worked this out with outdoorsy and should never happen again so I’m not letting this affect my review as well as Artem made this right.
Ultimately, I would highly recommend this vehicle to someone who wants to explore Alaska, but I wanted to give an idea of the things that I wasn’t aware of before going in as well.

Very solid vehicle! Loved driving it and exploring the island. Artem was responsive and made sure I had everything I needed. Will definitely rent again next time I’m on the island!

Beautiful van with all the comforts to tour the island and sleep near the beach, with everything you need to cook, refrigerate and charge devices. I recommend it

The car was perfect for our week-long road trip, with the tent and fridge. Artem was also very responsive to our requests, and we had a wonderful photo shoot with him on the beach.

The camper is super well equipped and we had a great time exploring Oahu in it. Artem is super friendly and we highly recommend this RTT camper.

Artem was a great host, the instructions on how to use the RV were seamless, and his RV is actually quite a bit of fun driving. The fridge worked perfectly, and is spacious enough for a couple of days, the mattress felt a bit soft for me for the long run, however others have no concern with it. Overall this rental is a great way to spend your holidays closer to Hawaii's epic nature. Great value for money.
