It was a great trip. RV allows you to access all parts of the island and to experience all diversity of Maui's nature. Lee's van is big enough for comfortable travel and stays overnight. Yet, it is not too big for curvy roads of the island, especially Road to Hana. Lee was highly communicative and responsive host. Highly recommend him.

5-Star Review for Lee & The Roamerer-2022 Solis (Camping Adventure in Maui)
Lee is one of the best hosts we’ve ever had for any rental. This was my second time renting from him, and I would book with him again in a heartbeat.We were supposed to arrive in Maui at 3 PM, but our flight got delayed and we didn’t land until 10:30 PM. Lee was still up, waiting, and handled the entire handover late at night with zero complaints. He went way above and beyond offering extra tips, gear, and support to make sure we were comfortable from the moment we stepped into the van. That kind of hospitality makes all the difference, especially when you’re exhausted after travel.
The van itself is fantastic, the Roamerer-2022 Solis is well-equipped, clean, and perfect for island exploration. We used it for a full week (January 14–20, 2026) and it handled everything we threw at it: Haleakalā sunrise, camping at Hosmer Grove, the windy Road to Hana, black sand beaches, Wailea, Black Rock, and more.
The trip was incredible, a true once-in-a-lifetime family adventure. We explored the entire island, from high-elevation camping and waterfalls to beaches and resorts. We met a family staying at a nice resort who said they were bored by the end of the week because they just did pool and beach every day. What we did felt like four vacations in one: camping under the stars, scenic drives, nature hikes, and beach time. The van gave us total freedom to go wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted.
If you’re thinking about renting an RV for Maui and want a supportive, responsive host who genuinely cares, Lee is your guy. Highly recommend.

We had SO much fun exploring Maui in this van! We spent months looking for a camper van that would accommodate myself, my husband and our three young boys and this is the only one we could find that had enough seatbelts and sleeping space. We drove all over the island from Lahaina to Hana to the summit of Haleakala. The van was easy to drive, handled the winding roads of the Road To Hana well, and was very comfortable for all of us. Our three boys fit comfortably in the pop up bed and my husband and I slept on the fold down bed in the back.We had a couple issues throughout our trip with the battery getting drained, but we weren't sure if that was a van problem, or just a matter of us not understanding how to use it properly. Other than that, everything went very smoothly. The gray and black water are easy to empty. The fresh water tank lasted us about two days and we were able to refill it just outside of Hana to last for the last two days of our trip. Lee was very helpful in suggesting places where we could refill the tank. He also provided everything we needed including blankets, towels, dish soap, toilet paper, plates, cups and utensils. The only thing we didn't have that would have been nice was a sharp knife in order to enjoy all the fresh fruit from the roadside stands!

We had a great experience renting this EV camper! The vehicle was clean, well-equipped, and easy to drive — it had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. They provided clear instructions, answered all our questions, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend!

We loved renting the Van. This was our first time camping around Maui and it was the perfect setup for our family of 6. Having the Van to hose off after playing at the beach was super helpful and having a fridge to keep cold beverages made the daily experiences that much better. What a fun and cool way to see Maui. Lee was great to work with.

We spent a week in the van. It was a great experience, it's comfortable and well appointed. Lee made us feel very welcome. He picked us up at the airport and brought us back, which was very convenient for us.
We would definitely recommend renting this van.

We had an amazing time! Lee was super cool and explained everything with the van really well. He picked us up from the airport which was awesome. We took the van out to Hana and it was easy to drive on the windy roads and made our trip so fun and adventurous. We had me and my husband and 6 and 3 year old kids. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience renting an RV from Lee! From the start, Lee was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth and enjoyable trip. He was super friendly, responsive, and gave us a thorough walk-through of the RV before we hit the road. He even offered pizza to our kids, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture! It truly made us feel welcome and taken care of.

We had a wonderful time enjoying Maui in the van. We took it up to Haleakalā, the Road to Hana, and west Maui. We traveled with our two young kids. They slept on the bottom bed and we took the pop up which was surprisingly comfortable and roomy enough for my husband who is 6’ 2”. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals for a family of four. There was also sufficient space to eat around the table.

Everything was perfect! Lee had the campervan ready for us at the airport and gave us a tour so we felt comfortable operating the vehicle! Everything was clean and in great order! We loved being able to explore Maui...from the Road to Hana and camping at the Kipahulu campground to exploring Haleakala at sunset and sunrise, this van had everything we needed to be comfortable for our family of 4! We loved it! Would highly recommend using a camper van to explore the island and use as your home base!

10/10 experience! This was my home for a week and I didn't want to part ways with it by the end! I had no issues with the van whatsoever, all functions working well and it provided me with everything I needed to be comfortable living on the road and sleeping at the camp grounds. Having never driven a vehicle of this size, I was a little nervous to operate it, especially to take on The Road to Hana. Lee went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable driving it (even went for a test drive with me around the neighborhood). After the first day or two, I got used to the size and felt confident driving around the whole island (maintaining common sense and caution in certain situations :)). I can't say enough about Lee's hospitality and generosity. Don't think twice about renting this van for your Maui adventures, best way to explore the island!!
