About Squeaky Beach's RV rentals

Find your Squeaky Beach... We were walking through a mangrove in Myanmar, near the border of Thailand, when the 1 room beach hut where we would spend the weekend came into view. Our packs were immediately thrown on the bed, the only piece of furniture in the room, and we ran for the warm water of the Andaman Sea. To our surprise, every step on the white sand was rewarded with a squeak. It was called Sinhtauk Beach, but we happily referred to it as squeaky beach. It was there, overlooking the sand in a 1 room hut, that we first started talking about how nice it is to travel simply and without so much gear. Our next adventure landed us in Melbourne, Australia. We rented a campervan for our journey up the East Coast. It was only 19’, but extremely comfortable and had more storage than we could use. On our second night, we found ourselves arriving late to a national park, but wanted to sneak in a quick hike before dark. As we winded up the hill and the ocean came into view, a small sign pointed to SQUEAKY BEACH. We were obviously excited, it had only been a few weeks since we realized a beach could squeak and we had now found 2. As we ran onto the sand, the rounded grains of quartz sounded like a basketball floor squeaking during a game. “Squeaky Beach” was our new term for “paradise.” That evening, as we enjoyed the squeak of the beach, our minds were made up to downsize our camping equipment when we returned to Colorado.
