Jennifer her husband and son were all very nice and were prompt in returning messages. Her husband walked me through some of the setup details and was very helpful. Her son met me for pickup and for drop off. The trailer was in very good condition when I picked it up and you could tell that it had barely been used. The exterior and and interior were like new. The trailer towed extremely well and was easy to maneuver. When I arrived at our campsite I easily unhooked the camper and leveled it. Hookup to AC went easily, and we were able to extend the pop out with no problems. Refrigerator came on and started cooling. Turned on the gas line and was able to get the pilot lit. This is where the first problem started as soon as the heater came on the smoke alarm went off. The only way to stop the smoke alarm was to turn off the heater. Next I filled the fresh water tank, purged the water lines of air and checked the bathroom faucets for hot and cold water, water heated fairly quick usually with 30 secs of turning it on. While we waited for the refrigerator to cool we went and visited with my family that we were camping with. About an hour later I came back to the trailer, the sink and stove counter were covered in water, quick inspection and found water was slow leaking from the kitchen faucet, this was problem #2. Outside of the trailer I could smell propane, after inspecting the tank I could hear hissing coming from the regulator coupling after inspecting I discovered that the connection hose had a slight crack that looked like possible dry rot of the hose this became problem #3. Lastly, our first night got down to 27 degrees which made it very uncomfortable to sleep in the trailer. The following morning since we did not have gas we were unable to cook breakfast in the trailer and had to use our families trailer. The remainder of our trip we wound up using the trailer as storage for our clothes and food, we had to sleep on the couch of my Niece and nephews trailer and had to cook all of our meals in their trailer. This kind of defeated the purpose of renting a trailer that would give us some privacy and not burden my family. Thankfully, they have a very large camper and they loved having us there all of the time. It would have been much cheaper for me to have not rented the camper, expended a great deal more fuel hauling it and additional time to pick it up and drop it off. I do not believe that i will ever use a service like Outdoorsy to rent a trailer again. If I ever want to rent again I will find a trailer dealership that does it and ensures that the trailers the rent are thoroughly checked out before they leave.
