ABSOLUTELY DISASTROUS AND DANGEROUS VEHICLE. I spent a week on the road in the Southwest doing a film project with a lot of money invested in equipment, accommodations, activities, and general time commitments. It is for all these reasons that I took on the accepted risk of driving this vehicle in spite of it being very unsafe on the road. The alignment was off so bad that the car would periodically swerve out of its lane for no reason. we came very close to running into other cars or driving off the road. I chose to stick to as many smaller and isolated roads as possible the entire trip. Halfway through the trip, the engine overheated (which I fixed), the windows quit working making all of our belongings unsafe to leave in vehicle (THANK GOD FOR NO RAIN IN DESERT). The air conditioning also stopped working abruptly and NONE of the power outlets worked in the car without the generator running. The car plug outlet in the front of vehicle never worked. I confronted Michael about all of these issues at the end of our trip, but he completely shrugged me off. His rebuttal that I didn't whine or complain to him during the duration of our trip was his justification for there being no problems. He asked me "If it was so dangerous, why didn't you just bring it back?" Here is your answer: The reason I didn't bring your vehicle back or contact you during our trip about the compromised state of it is because there is nothing you could do to fix an overall bum vehicle from hundreds of miles away. We had thousands of dollars, time constraints, and commitments for a work project that would have been COMPLETELY flushed down the toilet because of your false advertising and putting us in danger. I chose to take our time, the roads less traveled (literally), and embrace a level of accepted risk that I felt matched the amount we had invested in our film project. All of these things mentioned are the rights of agency we have as people. It does NOT change the danger you put us in or the completely unsatisfactory state of this machine to be in the hands of anyone besides yourself. The idea that you would dispute my claims simply because I chose to complete our project in spite of the overwhelming headwinds of your hazardous vehicle is extremely insulting. You admitted to me that this vehicle has not been rented to many people IF anybody besides me. Very delighted to be your guinea pig and still be alive to warn others. I gave the van three stars for cleanliness because that's the honest assessment...just like the rest of this entire review.

My girlfriend and I had a lovely time renting this van. We drove it up and down the coast from Venice. Everything worked as described. the roof rack made a great place to watch the sunsets from highway 1. I would rent this van again if given the opportunity. communication with renter was very great.

The fridge, the sink and the exterior of the van were dirty. The refrigerator did not work, the second day we had to throw away half of our supplies. We did not have space to put our belongings since all the shelves were occupied with food, clothes, books, suitcase and backpack from the owner ... this situation bothers us since the space is limited and we could not use it. shelf doors don't close properly and things fall off when you drive. the trip was good despite all that, but my comment is sincere so that its owner can adjust these things and offer a better service.

Thank you for the feedback. To clarify for future potential renters. I spoke frequently with Florencia and her partner prior to the trip. Prior to the trip starting I took the vehicle in for servicing (spending over $1000 on getting a new steering element, full service and oil change, etc) and spent 1.5 hrs cleaning it before pick up. I knew they were traveling far and I spent a tremendous amount of effort to ensure communication was clear and consistent, and that the van was prepared for them to have a great trip.
