Fun vehicle that made us feel more local then driving a flashy overpriced rental car. Came with lots of great things to make our stay easier at the campground and around town. We really enjoyed our time in the Land Cruiser, and would highly recommend it for a more unique and adventurous stay.

Very cool older Toyota! The vehicle is a little rough around the edges (due to the age), but it is still very capable and had everything we needed to camp around Maui. I would highly recommend, and will definitely rent this SUV again next time I am in Maui.

The truck had a slow leak and we were overcharged on the cleaning fee.... Charged us an additional $185 because we didn't clean it ourselves. The camp kitchen only included a small stove... No silverware or cups. The included shower is a tiny hose pump shower and a couple buckets.

AMAZING! This truck has seen some things! We took this bad boi all over this dang island and had a freaking blast, couldn’t have had a better time! The rain was a bit of a bitch, but only a tad bit of an issue! Victor and his beast are grade A Hawaiian hospitality!

awesome car. Perfect for road to Hana. Car topper tent wasn’t too hard to figure out. Pretty comfy for my wife and I. Victor accommodated us last minute and let us keep the car for a few extra hours which was really convenient for our travel plans. Car was in great shape and you’d have no idea it’s a 1996. It’s my new dream rig. 10/10 will rent this same car when I’m out there again

We had a blast with the Land Cruiser! We drove all across the island without problems and got multiple compliments from people about the legendary look of the car. The car has some minor mechanical issues (central locking and parking break don't work) but nothing too unusual for its age and we never felt unsafe. As others have noted the rental does not include a cooler, so I'd recommend bringing one for longer camping trips. Victor was responsive and very helpful to accommodate our scheduling needs. We were a bit surprised to be charged a $40 cleaning fee for a stain after drop-off, so I recommend doing a thorough walkthrough at pick-up to document any existing issues.

My family and I were very pleased on been able to travel around the island on this classic Land Cruiser. I only whish it had a little cooler as its meant to be a camping rig but overall I still gave it 5 stars overall.

Absolutely stunning 1996 Land Cruiser. Very clean, loved and well maintained vehicle. We truly felt like "locals" in this rig. All instructions provided made setting up the Tepui tent and camping really easy. Seamless pick and drop off. Our trip was pure bliss cruising with this mobster babe. Victor was wonderful to work with from booking to drop off. When we come back to Maui, the Land Cruiser is on our must rent again list.

Great rental experience! 3 stars is "average" from my perspective; most rating criteria were 5 starts/excellent in my opinion! The Landcruiser shows it's age, but worked well! I would definitely rent this same vehicle again! Excellent value!

Absolute 5 star review for Victor’s Toyota Land Cruiser. Simple pick up as drop off with easy communication. We rented for 3 nights to camp on Maui and the rooftop tent gave us unique experience that really can’t be matched. The road to Hana is filled with cheesy rental Wranglers and convertibles doing a one day trip. We were able to stretch it out over 3 days, do the reverse route, and feel as much as possible like a local (at least the other tourists thought we were). If you’re looking to experience Maui by camping in a rooftop tent and in an old truck, this is the way to do it.

***CAUTION*** The vehicle is over 20 years old and a lot of the interior is weak due to wear and tear. A piece broke off the sun roof and hit my father in the head while driving. The owner may hold your deposit to replace parts that might break due to natural wear and tear.

We absolutely loved this car! It is big and has very nice seats, tinted windows, great audio and a roof window that you can open (aka feeling of a convertible). Road to Hana was no problem with this car. Tent is super easy to put up. Communication with Victor was great and we would highly recommend to book with him. It is an older car and if you want to be like any other tourist, go for a jeep wrangler, but if not you should go for this car! It comes with some cooking stuff, but we didn't used it, looked new though! It was our first time camping and it was very comfortable with this car. Tent is big enough for two and you can open the top and fall asleep while looking at the stars.

Easy booking and communication. Airport pickup and drop off arranged. Cruiser handled really well on Road To Hana and tent was easy to use with homemade user guide - very nice touch. Withstood the eastern Maui rain for an entire night and stayed completely dry. Would definitely recommend!
