Had a few weeks to consider our response. Lot was value for what we paid. In summary the vehicle did what we asked, was safe and reliable. The relative age and not pristine condition of the body work was in fact an advantage- as a few more roadwork stone chip, weren’t going to be overly worrying. More comfy seats would be nice, but made us more inclined to not drive for silly timeframes. For the sake of a few easy fixes the experience could have been markedly improved . At least two butane canisters should have been supplied with the stove, cutlery and crockery provided was clean, but obviously old and needing retirement and replacement with a non op shop set- eg unclean-able saucepan lid. Fortunately we had our sleeping bags as The bedding is not adequate one bit fitted sheet one doona and two pillows— maybe a warning to bring sleeping bag.First impressions are important. The collection point / reception office was reminiscent of a mechanic work shop and could be improved for a less challenging first impression. So, thank you Jazz, and we appreciated the reliable sturdy and interesting’home” we had for two weeks. Hazard to say that if they’d have us we’d use them again

Booked Thriller Campervan three months in advance, paid in full @$135/day. On pickup day told vehicle not available so will upgrade to another vehicle, more likely a down grade!! Booked thriller as it had a CD radio , this upgrade no CD only a crappy old radio that couldn't pick up a station. I'm driving hundreds of Kilometres, hours of driving with no entertainment.
The Cupboard doors rattled had to jam closed with cardboard.
The bed cushions had no support so when you lie down your lying on wooden base. They moved about and didn't stay in place.
the drivers cabin had food crumbs and human hair.
This episode ruined my holiday.
drop off was really poor as the mechanic walked straight past , no good morning, no one in reception, after tracking him down we spoke to the boss on his dirty filthy phone who told us to leave the van there and he will send a receipt.
I will never use this company again as it is dodgy.

Super experience to travel through NZ with your campervan Cruza.
We expected a little more cutlery in the campervan.
We asked for an extra day rent and had to pay 175,-, while we rented the campervan for 130 per day. Currently the Cruza campervan is on your website for 135 per day. This didn't feel very friendly, since the total rental amount was already 10.000,--
We also had to pay 90,-- for a small dent in the front window behind the mirror.... Not clear for me if this was caused during our renal period or already present when we picked up the van...

Unfortunately, during our trip, we encountered an issue with the rearview mirror on the campervan. While driving on the highway, I happened to glance at the middle mirror to check traffic behind us when I noticed the mirror on the back of the vehicle fall off.We immediately returned and pulled over to the shoulder and located the remaining parts of the mirror, including the casing and splintered glass scattered on the road. It's important to note that we did not hit anything or come into contact with any object that could have caused the mirror to detach.Upon returning the campervan yesterday, we informed the gentleman at the counter about the incident. While we understand accidents can happen, we were surprised to learn that we would be held responsible for the cost of the damaged mirror.Since the mirror malfunctioned during regular driving and we did not cause any damage through our actions, we respectfully disagree with being charged for the repair or replacement. For our records and as a confirmation of the vehicle's return, we kindly requested a signed document acknowledging the condition of the campervan at the time of drop-off. Unfortunately, we were informed that an email would be sent instead. We believe a physical document with a signature is the standard procedure when finalizing a rental agreement. We would appreciate it if you could reconsider the damage charge and review the situation. We are happy to discuss this further and provide any additional information you may require.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. The rest of the campervan was nice and clean, but this behaviour with the mirror makes the rental not good at the end.Sincerely,
Thorsten Hornick

Great service when collecting the campervan. The van itself was clean and had all we needed for our trip. Thanks again.

I had the perfect campervan for traveling true NZ. Everyhing I needed was in the camper. The one thing I missed was a chair and table to sit outside.

The campervan we rented from Auckland Campervan was in great condition & clean when we picked it up! The pick-up process was easy, as was the return. They talked us through the logistics of campervan care for our trip - filling up on propane & fresh water, emptying the grey water & cassette, charging the solar power as we drove, etc. A small area for improvement could be including basic necessities such as towels, dish soap, & rubbish bags in the camper, as those were all items we had to purchase for our trip & didn't really otherwise make sense to have with us for other lodging accommodations during our time in NZ, & then took up space when traveling back home. One other tiny thing is that the bench top frequently slid off from the storage compartment below it while driving; it seems like some velcro underneath or a strap to hold it in place (like we ended up rigging with some rope) would help ensure it doesn't fall off so often. Generally, this campervan met our needs & we had no issues with it for a 2-week trip!
