The primary reason the trip was “ok” was the condition of the RV. The ad says “looks like new, smells like new, drives like a dream.” None of those comments are true. The RV smelled like smoke and the ride/drive was awful. The windows and vents had been taped and rattled open the entire trip. Rough and uncomfortable.
The other reason is when we picked up the RV and made mention of the cigarette smoke smell and the fact that the RV was dirty, the host insinuated he would cancel our rental if he didn’t get a good rating. Talk about putting people in a bind, we were scheduled to leave the next morning. He also commented that we would be charged a $250 fee is we didn’t bring it back clean when it was even close to clean at pick up, and lastly, the mattress was stained, and had no cover. The owner offered to reimburse us if we purchased a cover but that has not happened even though we sent the receipt. Luckily we only needed the RV to get to our destination and not to stay in.

Hi Becky, thank you. As someone who regularly puts others above self, I appreciate being reminded that my perspective does not always align with the perception of others. You arrived in a new truck. Compared to that, any rv is going to be rough and uncomfortable. I noticed the truck because during handoff you were in it instead of with your husband and I discussing details. Details including a rain water stained 6 month old bed from the roof vent I forgot to close. And the window locks that sometimes rattle open and have tape on them to avoid it. While this RV is not new, it is fully functional- which I'll mention since you didn't. From us meeting and until you left I heard repetitive snarky negative comments leading me to offer a refund and say "I'd rather not receive a dollar than you have a bad trip and blame me for it in a bad review" Using this RV as a limousine and expecting a limousine experience predictably led to disappointment. The Hawk nor myself are at fault.

We had an amazing trip out to Banff Canada and then to Glacier National Park in Montana! Put quite a few miles on the RV and it did amazing! Communication was great. Would recommend!!

We did an Epic 20 day Trip hitting a lot of the National Parks, Mount Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Custer's Last Stand, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Hoover Dam, Death Valley, Zion and then Tombstone. Rv was great with the slide outs gave us a lot of space, was really nice when you get tired of driving just go to a truck stop and sleep, Yellowstone the site we used required hard side because of the bears, was really nice when we saw Buffalo we parked pulled out our Chairs and had lunch, while my son fished.
