Great RV to rent and great owners to work with!

We were very happy with our rental experience from start to finish! K & S were kind, easy to communicate with, flexible with pick up and return times, didn't up-charge for every little thing, everything was included in the price and they were always available if we needed them during our trip. They were very thorough during walk-thru's and you can tell they really take pride in their RV. We would definitely rent from K & S again.

We had never rented an RV before and the owner made sure that we understood all aspects of the vehicles operation. We did a thorough walk through of the vehicle and a test drive. We drove over 1000 miles in our time with the RV and had minimal questions but when we did the owners were available and able to help Immediately. Overall, our trip went well and we felt confident in our understating of the RV.

Be cautious about renting with them you might be charged in the end for a bunch of problems, items that were probably broken prior to us renting. We did the final walk through and owner said everything was good, no issues besides the plastic on the door that was broken when the metal ladder that is not very secure, flew off and almost gave my wife a concussion, then hit the door. It's easy for them to charge your card for items that they can't pay for themselves!!!!!!!

Raina thank you and your family for renting our RV for your trip to California.
We are sorry you felt that we charged for items you don't think you broke. When you returned the RV we did a quick walk around and you did identify the plastic on the door. I also stated we would be doing a full, detailed review of the RV within 24 hours to get the rental closed out after we checked everything out.I'll start by addressing the ladder. It is your responsibility as to where you decided to place the bunk ladder in the RV. So if it falls over/moves and breaks a plastic piece on the door and almost hits your wife, while very unfortunate without a doubt, is a renter responsibility. Yes, the door plastic was one of the items you were charged for and we only charge you what it costs us to replace it. (That is very every item, the price we pay for it, no markup)But we also do understand your frustration and feeling at being blindsided by additional costs. We will do our best to adjust our check-in/our procedures so everything can be captured before renters walk away. There are also times where items are not noticed until we are doing the detailed cleaning, which is why Outdoorsy gives owners 48 hours after a rental is returned to notate any damage. (Section 10 of the Outdoorsy RV Rental Agreement titled: Condition of Rental & Responsibility for Repair)

Our entire family very much enjoyed our trip in Martee. The owner was VERY thorough and spent a lot of his time going over the entire RV with us. He tooks pictures and went over a checklist with us. He was so detailed that we did not need to reach out to him with any questions during our trip. He even checked in with us the day before check-in. He was VERY kind, communicative and professional. There is a previous review that rated him 1-star for needing to replace a windshield. PLEASE ignore this review - it had nothing to do with the RV or experience in it. The RV owner takes pictures and has you go over any damage then notates it on his check sheet. He then goes over his checksheet upon return with you. During our trip, we did crack the windshield (rocks on the interstate, it is going to happen). It cracked a good foot or so. He offered to go through our own insurance or the insurance we purchased through Outdoorsy. It was a painless experience and it was handled all by the RV owner. I wouldn't hesitate renting this RV again or working with the owner. It was a very pleasant experience and there was a lot of communication, professionalism and follow-up from the owner.

Owner gave us a damaged windshield in multiple places, told us it was a wear item and not to worry then proceeded to charge us for a replacement when a rock hit it on our trip. Renter beware of poor communication and integrity. Confidently wrong regarding Outdoorsy/insurance policy, has no problem fabricating then doing the profitable thing and taking advantage of the renter. Would not rent again.

We are sorry you feel you were taken advantage of. We provided a RV with a previously repaired rock chip on the drivers side, which we disclosed on the pre departure form, photos taken and let you know you were not responsible for that rock chip, as it was preexisting and already repaired.Upon return, you disclosed that you were driving down the road and a rock hit the windshield on the passenger side causing a foot long crack. That damage is not repairable, requires a windshield replacement and happened when you had the RV on your trip. I did say I would see what we could do in an attempt to lessen the cost to you. But after speaking with Outdoorsy and our personal insurance, it was clear this was damage that we had to file with your trip insurance because it was above and beyond the damage when the RV went out and happened during your trip. We followed all Outdoorsy policies in regards to this. They clearly state on their website that renters are responsible for all physical damage and in the insurance details, that you are required to purchase for your rental period.

The owner of our RV was fantastic. He was very thorough with the explanation of how the RV's systems operated and made us feel very comfortable taking to the road. The RV was extremely clean and everything was in working order.
